Bottle from the Elsfleth Hol-Ab. Deep amber with a frothy head. Grainy aroma laced with caramel and Backhaus Brot. Mildly sweet with a mild, grainy bitterness at the end. Medium body, balanced carbonation. Okay.

Not a pale lager, but a dunkel. Malty sugary aroma. Sweetish, roasted malt, sugar. rather thin. Unconvincing, because the roasted malt is not accompanied by fruity flavors or malt, and has to acrry the whole beer. Without too much success, I’m afraid.

Not nearly as great as the ratings on here would have you believe. It is quite thin and lacking much complexity, and this is a bottle from dresden. Feb 2019. Drank again and and i uphold my 3.3, could even be a 3.2

Many thanks for this beer to Mariusz. Po ciezkim wysilku jak dzisiaj po pracy to wszystko by mi smakowalo, wiec nie wiem czy ta opinia bedzie obiektywna. Spora piana niczym broda mikolaja, trwala i oblepiajaca moj gruby kufel Holby. Piwo ma barwe rudo-rdzawa, klarowne. W smaku lekki karmel, nieco rodzynek, troche toffi, lekka gorycz na koncu. Smaczne i regeneruje sily na pewno, przynajmniej dzisiaj.

Bottle, poured into a Steinkrug. Brown color with tan head. Aroma is earthy, nutty, barnyardy, black breadcrust, some vineous-ish flavours. Taste is bready, earthy, metallic, light cardboard. Mineralic, slightly watery mouthfeel, natural to fizzy-ish carbonation. Well-made, but not a gem. I might have to revisit on tap during Sandkerwa.

Pours clear, amberbrown. Reminding of leaves in the fall. Small white head. Rather frothy. Smell is intense, dark bread, caramel, hints of earthy Ness. Taste is bit bitter at start, than turns to a full, intensely flavored dark bread style of drinkable, clean and crisp beer. It musg have been a bit old by now, but shows no signs of oxidation at all. Still pretty enjoyable!!!,

500ml bottle, 5.3 % abv, thanks to djoeye for sharing. Decent off-white head to a near-clear dark amber body. Lacing rings down the glassware. Moderate malt-fruity aromas. Blended taste of prunes, bread, and caramel malts. Mid-sweet malt-fruity end. Fair enough. (Shared with Finn and djoeye, Thanxbeeringparty at PivotekaH7, Tromsø 23,11.2017).
