Caramel color with dissipating off-white head. Smells like hay, lemon, and biscuit. Tastes sweet with a bit of roastiness.

Day Two of the Great Chris Meyer/Aaron Nielsen Franconian Beer Tasting in Schlitz. Prost! Hazy, reddish orange appearance with an off white head. Rich malty, nutty caramel nose. A bit spicy, rich caramel malty, toasty, somewhat floral/chalky flavor.

Bottle looks good, beer in the glass also. Dark, nice head. Starts malty and dry, modest sourish. Finish a bit more metallically, a bit unbalanced. Drinkable, but not my favourite!

Bottle. Chestnut, fine carbonation, creamy off-white head. Nice toasted bready aroma, hop nuances. Chewy mouthfeel, good body, present but not cloying sweetness. Light nutty and roasted notes, fitting bitter and aromatic hop counterpoint. Quite drinkable and moreish.

bottle from frankenbrotzeit. Clear brown colour, mid-sized off-white head. Malty nose. Medium-bodied, pleasantly malty with hints of caramel and rasetd malts, also shy hints of coffee. Slightly hoppy in the finish.
