Fläschla: Almost clear, some U.F.O.'s visible, ruby-amber coloured, medium-sized stable off-white head, sweet-bitter nose of an old (brandy-) barrel, malt and grassy hops; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, hardly medium bodied, not overly soft; lingering woody-caramelly finish with a dry grassy nd tart aftertaste. Not great, should be better balanced...

Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for sharing. Grainy beginning. Caramel malt, hints of grain with a nice round bitterness. Not too much fruity parted there, refreshing and sessionable with a moderate dry malty bitter finish.

33cl bottle. A clear deep amber beer with a mid-sized most good lasting beige head. Aroma of caramelish mid sweet dark malt, wood, red fruits, oak. Taste of sweet caramelish malt, tons of oak, vanilla, red fruits.

Bottle. Hazy brown color with floatees. Aroma is wood, vanilla, caramel, fudge. Taste is wood, fruity, vanilla, fudge, plummy, quite decadent - actual pastry, quite a tannic bitter finish, a bit metallic too. Fatty oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Decent!

(bottle, 33cl) Slightly hazy, ruby colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Mildly dark malty aroma with oaky notes of tanbark and shades of vanilla, backed by slightly vinous fruity notes of plums and cherries. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Dry dark malty base with present okay and woody notes, mainly of tanbark than vanilla and with traces of caramel, accompanied mildly plummy accents, which are getting slightly stronger towards the dry and hop bitter finish. Nice one, but lacks a bit of balancing malty sweetness imho. 09.VI.18
