This breezy little thing doesn’t scream for your attention, you could throw one back at the ballpark without ever noticing how delicious it is. But if you pour it in a glass and put your nose in, you’ll find that Peer is full of subtle delights: Ripe pear, floral cardamom, gentle spiciness.
But if three of your pals catch you with your proboscis in a pint, pondering it’s profundity, promptly petition the publican: Pour four Peer pear beers please!

Draught at the brewery
Pale blond colour, cloudy. Evident cardamom aroma, yet delicate. The flavour is weird, at first it makes me think of chrysanthemum tea, a bit spicy, light cardamom and gentle fruity touch. Not my kind of beer, but well made.

Can. Hazy and pale, with a frothy head. That cardamom is big here, and there's a bit of pear as well, and some bugs. It's a bit yeasty on the palate, and those bugs again. The cardamom and pear are both subordinated to these notes, but still present. It's good, but the aroma is the stronger component.

473mL can, pours a cloudy bright yellow with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with crisp pear skins upfront, with a touch of cardamom spice. Flavour is simple, with gently sweet pear skins, some spiciness, and some fruity esters. Bright, light, and gently spicy. Simple, clean, unexciting.

Good cloudy yellow body and okay foam, slightly solid. The pear aroma seems hindered by mint and in the right vein I'd say it smelled like toothpaste, so no win there. Tastes of a good nice cardamommy yeasty ale, slight pear notes, soft fruitiness, helping to balance out the yeast. Some signature Dageraad yeast aftertaste. Not bad, but that smell needs to be fixed unless they're trying to complete with Colgate.
