The addition of even more of the seven different malts we use, along with a low hop level creates a deep dark beer featuring rich, sweet roasted flavors. The addition of lactose (milk sugar) adds complexity, body, and a residual sweetness lending a smooth creamy texture to this full-flavored and now full bodied brew.

Black pour, small mocha head. Robust, roasted malts, vanilla and lots of coffee and cocoa powder. Creamy mouth feel, soft carb. Finish is medium bitter, light soy, lots of milk chocolate and coffee. Sweet and robust, a bit thin on the end.

Can from Beerdome. Aroma is lots of cocoa and chocolate with mocha, roasted malt, some beany coffee, vanilla, milky lactose, and a touch of espresso. Flavour is medium sweet with a moderate to medium roasty bitterness. Body is above medium with a little creaminess. Quite rich and tasty, I echo the remark from another rater who argued that this should have been the base beer for the boxset of variants.

(can) clear, bright, very dark brown colour with a small brown head; aroma of milk chocolate, roast; sweet flavour with a long, medium bitter finish; creamy palate; possibly the best of the lot of sweet stouts from this brewer

Pours a real dark brown colour with hardly any highlights. The mocha-coloured head has decent stay, but better creamy lacing. Roasted malt aromas with molasses, vanilla, cocoa powder and dark fruits. The mouthfeel is lightly dry with decent bitterness in the finish. Roasted malt taste with a little sweetness. Not the best Imperial Milk Stout, but alright.
