Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clear deep gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates quickly. Nice full estery nose with clove and banana alongside bready malt and peppercorn aromas. Palate is pretty similar slightly sweet, but not overly phenolic...body is maybe a touch thin, but very drinkable. Smooth finish with honey, clove and peppery spice that lingers.

12 oz bottle. Pours golden with a wispy haze and a large white diminishing head. Yeasty pale malt aroma with hints of candy and strawberry. Yeasty pale malt and pear flavor, a bit perfume-y, hint of caramel. Tasty, straightforward.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Strong gusher upon opening, but not infected. Pours hazy golden orange color with a 2-3 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, apple, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, honey, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malt, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, apple, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, honey, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate yeast spiciness and light herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, apple, peppercorn, clove, honey, biscuit, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malt, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from carbonation/spiciness as well. High carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately bready/grainy/creamy balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an outstanding Belgian strong pale ale! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malt, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.
