Small white head over pale golden, clear beer. Cuscusnose, grains, but some dried, dusty hops as well. Metallic, faintly grassy malts, empty. Very watery palate and ditto body. "Ai tre luppoli"? - I see, they’ve added three hopcones. On a zillion hectolitres brew...

chiara schiuma non abbondante non molto persistente note di cereali granoturco un leggero floreale in bocca cerali succedanei il luppolo dove è? leggeremente più raffinata nell’utilizzo dei luppoli ma non nel malto

0.66l bottle bought at the Ipercoop store in Kaštel Sućurac. Brewed at the Induno Olona plant. Poured a golden colour, lazy carbonation, first poured absolutely no head, but after the second pour it was medium sized and thick. The nose isn’t the best around. Cabbage, some graininess and malt. The taste is watery... alcohol (bah), not the greatest maltiness around, no hops in the taste, but I guess they make the sourish lemony aftertaste. Palatable but crap. --- Beer merged from original tick of Splügen ai Tre Luppoli on 19 Oct 2009 at 11:22 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 3 | Flavor - 3 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 4. Original review text: Bottle from Andora, shared with heavy. Poured a big thick white head that didn’t last long. Light eggy nose, extremely light flowery notes too. Empty taste, thin maltiness, bit dry and grainy. Hops? Hah, maybe some really light presence in the aftertaste. As are most of these lagers, drinkable but crap. Still not convinced that this is different from the old one, despite the new/old recipe talk and the name.

Test vom 1.11.2007, Gebinde: Dose Noten: 7,2,5,3,7,2 - 3,35

66 cL bottle. Pours pale clear yellow with a dense white head. Slight malty dry to sweet aroma. Flavour is slight sweet malty quickly turning into a dry hoppy bitterness with a minor fruity whiff. Ends dry bitter.

(Sample #2 [bottled] at the first Biertest-Online Gathering, Düsseldorf, 29.12.06) Clear, pale golden colour with a short frothy white head. Slack and sweet malty, corny nose. Light-sweet, metallic flavour, slim bodied but has a crispy carbonation. Malty, corny taste, typical pale lager character; very light herbal notes towards the slim finish.
