Draught Small but reasonably resistent yellowish-tan head over darker red-brown beer. Dark bread, sweeter malts, slightly ketjap, if drier. Sweet dark bread, sweet dark malts, bit roasted chestnuts, dark green leaves. Better bodied than either Dunkel or Schwarz usually are. Quite slick. Interesting take on the style(s) (beer is both described as Dunkel and Schwarz) by the brewery, and on top of that it is qua roast almost porter-like. Quite drinkable in any case.

0.33 l bottle from 'Gastrodrink', best before January 2024. Almost clear, dark brownish amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, cocoa, toasted nuts and some raisins. Gently sweet, malty, a little roasty and moderately fruity taste of caramel, toasted nuts, cocoa and some raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a bit roasty finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very pleasant lager, somewhere between a Dunkel and a Schwarzbier.

Short handy 0,33 l bottle purchased at the source today. Darkest copper and not black in the glass, huge pale beige head. Smells dark malty, caramel, some nuts and sweetness. Taste starts dark malty, choco, roasty nuts, present bitter hop. Caramel background. Long lasting dark bitterness in the aftertaste. Again a nice one from Pfefferlechner.

Tap at the source in Lana (BZ) - Italy. Cloudy cola pour, ivory irregular foam. Nose: roast and caramel, cola a bit, burnt brown sugar. Mouth: sweet sugary a bit roast, sweet is over the top for me and covers the overall which is pretty in style (ah, this is not a schwarze...but a dunkel, mind you).
