Hmm, pretty good stuff. Aroma is apples, spices, and a bit of funk. Flavor’s like nose, plus some tart and a little oak. Great body and carbonation - though not similar to the sparkling wines I’ve had. Very good finish. This would go great with roast duck.

750 mL bottle poured. I have been eyeing this bottle for years now, but always hesitated at the $20 price tag. Found it for $12 though, so that was easily enough persuasion. Clear golden pour with a quick fade head. More or less standard apple cider aroma. Flavor is on the juicy side. Very apple juice like, drinks nice. Not too sweet. Not a whole lot that separates this from the standards. Expected more I guess, but very tasty overall.

750 mL bottle from Amity Liquors, New Haven. Clear golden, large fizzy head that quickly fades, but lots of visible carbonation. Aroma of sweet apples, white wine, a bit of vanilla and mustiness. The taste is intensely sweet apples, caramel, vanilla, apple skins, green apple. Medium bodied, soft, spritzy carbonation, lingering sweetness. While quite sweet, not cloying, and decent balance.

Pours gold into a shaker. White head recedes to nothing. Apple aromas. Sweet apple and cinnamon front to back turning dry in the lasting finish.

Yellow with a fizzy head. Aroma is intense tart green apple, almost like a sour apple candy but less sweet and more tart. Flavor is similar with a bit of light vanilla and close. Lightly sweet dry finish. Full flavored and quite good. Stron carbonation. Very good.

Tasting at Matt’s
Light amber color, hazy, sparse bubbles head. The aroma and flavor of sweet apple juice is dominating; moderately sweet; light vanilla and cake notes; not the most complex cider, but still a very pleasant one.

750mL bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is complex, with notes of sweet apples, champagne notes, and light caramelized sugar. Flavour is quite sweet, with caramelized sweet apples, champagne notes, and a woody dry finish. Quite highly carbonated, but done very nicely. Not the most complex and it does get quite a bit sweet on the finish, but it is a pleasure to drink. Very nice.

750 ml bottle. Pours a deep gold color with moderate white head that settles slowly. Intense aromas of old golden apples. Flavors carry the same plus a mellowness from the oak and spicy cinnamon notes. Big carbonation. Long dark apple finish. Excellent.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark yellow with a half finger of fizzy white head. Aroma of strong, tart apples. Taste is medium sweet and heavily tart. Light bodied and a somewhat sticky texture. Fizzy carbonation and a long, tart finish. Very good, probably the best angry orchard cider I’ve tried yet!
