Hazy dark amber colour, white foam. Nose of dried fruit, plums, vanilla, whisky. Sweet, fruity, light bitter

Copper to brown colour with light haze. Aroma and flavour have a somewhat musty note, maybe from the barrel. Furthermore honey sweetness and lemon curd.

Bottle from Slot Oostende, Goes. Clear dark red-brown, stable, off-white head. Aroma of old raisin, rum-soaked raisin, dried apricot, old caramel, red apple, wet wood, bourbon, dust. Taste has sweet raisin and red apple in a caramelly & biscuity malt body, sourish accent of wheat & red berry. Herbal hoppy finish, woody & dusty with raisin and caramel candy lingering as well as warming bourbon alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Oddly 'old' profile, maybe not intended but I can appreciate it.

Iirise kommi meenutab! Karamelline, magus (aga mitte lääge), suht tummine, aga mitte liialt tihke, nisu on ka nats, aga pimetestil kohe ei pakukski, et nisuvein. Uuema aja emelissed on so-so tihti, aga no see on ikka väga hea. Wow.

Kan goed 6 jaar geleden zijn dat ik een Emelisse kocht. Als dit de maatstaf is kan ik er gerust vaker een paar meenemen. Super zacht, zoet, fruitig, complex, eikenhout, whisky/bourbon. Ik kan er niks slechts aan ontdekken.
