A reddish copper barley wine with a thin thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with dark fruits, light maple syrup, alcohol warmth, light vanilla, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, light bourbon barrel notes, maple syrup, very nice.

From a 500ml bottle on 31/12/2023 (shared with Ed and Butz, 2023 edition, ABV 11%)). Pours an opaque dark brown with no discernible head.Has a a light caramel toffee nose with some sharp fruity notes. Tastes of caramel, toffee, apple, fig, raisins and maple, with a touch of honey in the mix. Has a sharp, mildly bitter finish that sets of the sweetness very nicely. Has a lightly syrupy mouthfeel with softish carbonation. Super easy drinking for the size. Complex, balanced, tasty and very approachable. Lovely stuff.

Capped 500 from Tavour. Pours very dark caramel/brown with a tan smear. Aroma of maple and brandy. Arguably full bodied. Flavor is maple, toffee, brandy and perhaps some wood notes. Sticky, but not excessively sweet. Not bitter, but heat goes in that direction. Definitely some mixed dark fruit in there. Pretty good - maple is not oerwhelming.

Can from Candia Road Lightly hazy deep copper in color without much of a head. Rich brown sugar and caramel maltiness with plenty of maple and a hint of dark fruit and alcohol. Great sipper.

On tap at the brewery, 2019 vintage. Pours a cloudy brown with small off white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is maple, toffee, walnut, cognac. Slick body, maple syrup, walnut, cognac, nice sweetness, very good.
