Oat Whip Galaxy DDH Double IPA. This Hazy Double IPA is brewed with Pilsner as the base malt, 50% Montana grown oats from Gallatin Valley Malt, and a dash of wheat. This rendition of our rotating single hop "Oat Whip" series is double dry-hopped exclusively with GALAXY at a rate of nearly 6lbs per barrel. Look for huge notes of mango, peach and passionfruit... Accompanied by an extremely soft and creamy mouthfeel.

Can. Very pale, very opaque. The aroma is big galaxy gooseberry, some vinous stuff (white wine), some light stone fruits, sweet pale malts. On the palate, there's light hop bitterness and a whack of alcohol, bringing more bitterness. Just a light malt sweetness. The hop aromatics are subdued on the palate - the DDH nature of this beer is that it's almost all on the hop. I actually don't like that approach to dry-hopping, because it's a letdown.

Can from explosivedog: pours opaque pale yellow with a white head. Aroma is citrus, light pineapple, passionfruit. Taste seemed a but too malty at first, but later sips seemed to reveal a better balanced beer with nice tropical flavors. Light tang and bitterness. Kind of sweet, but not a sugar bomb. Some onion.
