Working with our friends at Intelligentsia, we flew down to Guatemala to source some of the world's best coffee to use as we release the first-ever Coffee Barleywine. The beer is an English-style Barleywine, meaning malt forward, and aged in 4+ year old Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels before adding La Soledad coffee beans right before packaging to retain a bold coffee aroma and flavor.

Bottle pours with a clear deep mahogany colored body that has deep ruby red hues and supported a brief tan head of foam. The aroma offers up an inviting cloud of molasses, vanilla infused oak, plum, sherry and then mild bourbon, booze and coffee. The taste delivers smooth sweet molasses and supple sweet bourbon flowing into a mild sweetened coffee and coconut sensation. To midway a mild oak note surfaces leading into increasing yet mild booziness considering the massive AVB. Solid sipper.
