Heavy’s bottle from Vrutak (thanks!). Poured a black body slightly tinged with amber. Light fresh shalty dark malt aroma, quite nice. Creamy soft malty taste, slightly bitter, slightly salty. Ok stout, no major flaws. Nice even.

7-JAN-2018 as Pearl Jet Stout. Clear darkest brown, ruby highlights, mocha head. The nose has dark sugars, burnt sugar, a pinch of licorice and hints of spicy hop. Similar taste, light to medium body, light spicy bitterness. Ok. 6-4-6-4-13=3,3

27-APR-2017. BOTTLE as Oyster Stout. Head: coffee, medium-sized, fluffy, fast diminishing. Colour: black (technically really dark red). Aroma: wine, vinegar. Carbonation almost flat. Taste: sweetish, roasted bread, slightly acidic with a faint bitter/roasted finish. Body is thin. Does not feel dry as a dry stout is supposed to be. 5-3-5-3-12=2,8

500ml bottle. Has more of a Black Ale thing going on. Smooth watery black malt body. Sublime and straightforward, probably would be good with some shellfish. Mellow, molasses. Could have used some hops, some bite, some boom!, but the the mellowness suits it after awhile. Sandy dry notes actually come out after awhile, I suppose this one should be served warmer than refrigerator temp. Pretty decent, better than some of my local Stouts.

Lättdrucket, krämig eftersmak, lite för lite eftersmak, mjuk och mörk. Smak och doft av kaffe, choklad.

Bottle at Shanes house, from local offie in Englefield Green, 15/03/13. Mid black with a thin tan head that quickly dissipates edgeward. Nose is roast malt, toffee, metallic notes, nutty tones, molasses. Taste comprises dark fruits, dark malt, brown sugars, light soy sauce, vague hint of chocolate, light metallic tang. Medium bodied, light spritz in the carbonation, dry finish. Drinkable but mediocre.

Pours as black as coal, with thin (very thin) dark beige head. Not the creamy head of a guiness, but a thin oily head. Aroma is dark chocolate and prunes. Taste is chocolate, burnt toast, wood and dried fruit. Overall weight is medium, with oil, slick feel to it. AT first I was not impressed, but his is getting better with each sip.

50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 27.09.2013
Vertical with Fanø Vadehavs Østers Stout
Aroma is sweet, caramel and hay. Also some Toffee typical to British ales. Flavour has lots of Toffee, fruits and distant roasted notes. Too much toffee and too low on roasted notes.
