Arboga Starkt Öl är bryggt i ljus bockölsstil, för den som vill ha ett mera distinkt smakande lageröl till maten eller till festhögtider. Ganska stor doft med lätt rostad ton. Maltigt, smakrikt och eldigt öl med medelstor beska och tydlig sötma. Lång eftersmak med inslag av rostad säd.

Can from Systembolaget, Värnamo. Clear golden with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, corn and some alcohol. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish with a little alcohol. 311012

Can during the Semi-Final Tasting at my place, London. Guys: you’re welcome. Pours clear, bright gold with a fine, white foam head. Sticky, sugary caramel nose. Medium sweet flavor with lots of caramel and almost no alcohol, impressively, along with notes of light honey. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky sweet finish with further notes of malty caramel, toast, toasted sugars and rich bread. Nicely balanced with a surprisingly little alcohol present. This very well may be the best malt liquor I’ve ever had.

Can, thanks to Leighton at his tasting. It pours light golden yellow, with a medium white head. The nose is lemon, sweetness, corn, some sulphur and egg. The taste is white sugar, corn, grass, lemon and alcohol. Medium body and average carbonation. Smoother and less horrific than I was expecting. According to the aficionados this is a pretty special malt liquor.

330ml can bought at Systembolaget Kiruna, shared with Finn Arvid. Amber-gold in body colour. Low white head. Pale malty aroma. Flavour of sweet malts with too much vapour from the alcohol. Fruity sweet and metallic alcohol to the ending. Blah (hotel room, Kiruna 27.04.2012).

Can from Systembolaget in Strømstad, Sweden. Golden colour with a small white head. Rich malt and alcohol aroma. Very sweet flavour with lots of alcohol.

330ml Can - Gold/amber with a white head. Corn and malt feature in the aroma. Sweet, malty and rather alcoholic taste with malt, grain, corn and a sweet finish. Made for people to get drunk, so it’s hard to expect anything more from a beer like this.

Canned (thanks T.M.). Golden colour with small white head. Aroma is metal, some rubber, malty as well as alcoholic. Flavour is being alcohol, some grains, malts and mild grassyness along with metallic and rubbery notes.
