From old tasting notes. Labeled as Rignes Special Christmas Ale. Slightly hazy copper color has a nice foamy tan head. Delicious, complex roasted malt aroma. Sweet roasted malt flavor. Bittersweet hop finish. Long malty aftertaste. Quite good.

0,5 boks fra HelgøMeny Hundvåg: vakker rødlig mahognyfarge med lyst skum som raskt forsvinner. Litt aroma av bærmog malt. Smaken preges av røde bær, ganske saftig men tynn. Ble fort kjedelig. Et engangskjøp.

Can 500ml. [ As Ringnes Julespecial ].Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, candy. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, candy sugar sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 0.5l can. This is a ruby brown quite good looking one with a big really lacing light beige top. Smells nice. Not extreme bit a soft red fruity nose with a little bit of candied sugars. It feels light oily in the mouth and it has a average carbonation level. Soft caramelly taste with raisins and what I associate with red malts. Tastes alright. Soft metallic finish and tail on this one. Not very memorable but drinkable. 31.12.2013

Can. It’s a clear, amber colored beer with a dense, finger-thick beige head. The aroma has some citrus peel and undefined spices, with caramel hints in the back. It’s quite orangey in the flavor, letting the spices play second violin. Some caramel hints too. Medium body and a nice carbonation level. Some bitterness in the end, but it’s mostly orange peel. A quite nice one, but still not a beer I will miss. 140118
