Dark amber coloured body with ruby and brown highlights and a nice thick dense tan head. Aroma of fresh english hops, nice caramel, toffee, caramel malt, blood and a bit of metal. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong fruit in the taste up front with a very mild malt backbone and some nuts and toffee to round out the tastes. Aftertaste shows a tiny bit of the english hops, but mostly roasted sugars and some malt. Overall, a decent esb, nothing special and not much different than the plain jane IPA. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Oliverโs Beverage in Albany, New York on 27-January-2008.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet malty with light flowery notes from the hops, leading to a slightly bitter finish.

Bottle. Clear amber color with a average frothy good lacing mostly lasting off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet, moderate hoppy citrus, dry. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration and a nice hoppy dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Good balance beer.

Bottle: clear, amber coloured, small foamy layer; moderate fruity-malty nose with a distinctive touch of herbal (sage !) hops; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour,; sweetish (toasted-) malty finish with a touch of herbal bitterness, again. Not bad, but rather unexciting......

(bottle) Clear, amber to copper colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Light-sweet toast-malty aroma with lemon-fruity accents and shy but still present hops. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Toast-malty, fruity taste with light notes of caramel; dry and and quite slim, mild bitter finish with only light notes of aromatic hops. Okay, but also a bit mediocre.

Bottle. Brownish beer with a small strong head. The aroma is weak, and watery dry and the flavour is toffee hopped with a good bitter finish. Overall a reasonable beer.
