Ringnes Brewery was founded in 1876 by Amund and Ellef Ringnes, together with investor Axel Heiberg. The famous Ringnes Pilsner was introduced to the market in 1886. Ringnes Skjærgårdspils is brewed for summer and it is a light, refreshing pilsner.
Ringnes Skjærgårdspils has a pale golden colour. The aroma is mild and marked by hops and malt with notes of hay and straw. The taste is pure and balanced with a low, but smooth bitterness.

Can 50 cl. Pours a clear golden with a solid and lacing, white head. Malty nose with discreet, flowery hops. Body is a little to the thin side with clean malts, a hint of metal and a dry, lightly hoppy finish. Totally acceptable macro swill. And the beer's average is entirely mob arrogance. 230724

Can. A clear pale golden colored beer with a small, dense, white head. Nice curtains. The aroma is fruity and lightly malty, quite dusty, with some grassy, grapefruity notes. It's medium bodied and dry, nicely carbonated and with a faint hint of bitterness. Grainy, dusty malts, grassy, citrusy hops and a tropical touch. Dry, bitter finish. Dull, uninteresting and not too good. 240627 --- Beer merged from original tick of Skjærgårds Pils on 27 Sep 2005 at 11:50 - Score: Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 3 | Flavor - 4 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 4. Original review text: Can. Golden with white small head. Some malt and faint bread-yeast in aroma. Better than some other Ringnes-beers, but as usual, pretty uninteresting. Some malt and hops in it, but they are surely making money on this beer with the price it has. (050927)

33cl can from Meny Bjølsen, Oslo. Pours pale yellow with a small, white head. Grainy aroma with some slightly fruity notes and hints of honey and cooked vegetables. Sweet and grainy and not much flavour to speak of, but a light bitterness. Standard pale lager, not from the top shelf. --- Beer merged from original tick of Skjærgårds Pils on 07 Sep 2015 at 21:54 - Score: 4
