500ml bottle, batch #012, picked up at Vinmonopolet Aker Brygge and carried back home. A dense off-white head with fine duration and crocheted lacing. Amber coloured body with a slight haze. Quite inviting aroma of citrus and brown mats. Rounded taste character of ripe citrus and caramel malts. Fine bitter finish, mid dry. Well bodied, still easy to drink. Perfect paring with our lamb pie (Tromsø 26.03.2016).

Noe tåkete lys brummer fingerhøyt hvitt skum. Lukter fersken og sydhavsfrukt. Middels fylde. Middels bitterhet, noe malt, mot nøtter. Bitterheten sitter godt.

Golden with a white head - Fruity hop aroma - Malt body with a fruity hop flavour that has some bitterness to it - The hops goes into the finish and there is some dryness in the end - This was nice

500 ml bottle. Unclear orange body with a small and fast disappearing off-white head. Aroma of ripe fruit and some caramel malt. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, some citric fruit and average bitterness. Medium body and decent aftertaste. Not a typical IPA at all, but not bad at all. A bit like a hoppy version of a Belgium ale or something. Quite sweet and fruity with a good malt base and some fruity yeast. Quite pleasent if you don’t expect an IPA.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is sweet fruity, strawberry jam, dried fruits, butterscotch, wet hops, wet grass, cardboard, minerals, bark. Taste is medical harsh, weeds, bark, minerals, strawberry jam, medicine, wet grass, harsh hops, cardboard. Medium to longlasting bitterness, harsh mouthfeel. Crap!

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Storo, Oslo. Pours slightly hazy deep golden to amber with a fairly decent, off-white head. Hoppy and herbal aroma with pine, caramel, some tropical fruits and hints of citrus. Fairly sweet with quit strong hoppy flavours and a fair amount of caramel. Finishes rather bitter and a medium long, bitter aftertaste. A bit too much on the sweet side for my taste, but certainly a decent brew. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hermansen IPA on 09 Sep 2015 at 19:58 - Score: 7
