Can purchased from Total Wine in Bellevue, WA - hazy light gold - I appreciate what they seem to be trying to do here - creating such a big ipa that is also lean, clean, and dry is no easy feat - while the strength is apparent, I appreciate how dry this manages to be, especially in the finish, which also happens to be where the floral and citric hops really shine - clean pils malt throughout - a flinty/mineral quality compliments the medium-dry finish - I’m digging this more than others.

Can from Food Co-op, Bellingham, WA
Golden colour, hazy to cloudy. Considering the gravity it's relatively lean, with moderate residual sweetness, but the rather oily mouthfeel taints the timid malt character, the hop is a bit resinous but overall boring, and it has a very high level of fusels like booze.
Drinkable, but I wouldn't care drinking this again.

Sampled at borefts 2019 where I bought a can which I'm drinking now. Pours a deep gold with little head. Aroma is floral, fruity and sweet, some jam notes. Some citrus and rather a lot of pine. Quite heavy-bodied. Flavour is sweet, malty with lots of caramel. Again very fruity and jam-like, with citrus fruit (marmalade notes), medium bitter and quite hoppy. Should've had this slightly earlier, as it was considerably hoppier fresh. Still nice west coast hops notes, pine and a distinct spicy earthiness. It is more of a barley wine IIPA hybrid rather than a pure IIPA but nevertheless really good. Finishes sweet and slightly bitter with a touch of smoke somehow.
