In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Sublime's release of their iconic album "40oz. to Freedom", Sublime contacted AleSmith Brewing Co. to craft this unique brew. Sublime Mexican Lager is a thirst-quenching, 5.2% ABV twist on a traditional Vienna-style lager highlighted by a grainy, malt-forward sweetness and easy drinkability. It's clean, crisp and balanced with a smooth finish. Cheers!

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, grain and grass. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with a long grainy and grass finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Draught @ MBCC'18 [ Green Session ]. - Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018, Øksnehallen, Halmtorvet 11, 1700 København V, Danmark.[ As AleSmith Sublime Mexican Lager ].Clear medium amber - orange yellow colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, grain, sweet malt, fruity malt, caramel - toasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, pale malt, sweet malt, fruity malt, caramel - toasted, spicy notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. MBCC Sunday session, 'No riff raff'. Keg. Clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth dry lager malts, not sweet. Floral dry mid. Insipid citric hop. Dry finish. Passable clean lager but a million miles from sublime.

Keg at MBCC Bronus Gold session, 13/05/18. Golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is corn husk, cereals, lemon drizzle, straw. Taste comprises toasted grains, pale malts, light bread dough, grassy, subtle spice, lemon rind, cereals, crackers, cheesecake base. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok lager.
