Keg at the Moor Vaults, Enid Street - thanks to Nikhil, 14/08/19. Rich claret berry red verging on purple with a vibrant crimson cap. Nose is big on berry fruits, funk, wood must, hay bale, berry pips. Taste comprises sharp red berries, blackcurrant mash, funk, damp wood, oak, mellow acidity. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced acidic kiss. Solid well balanced sour.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is super fruity and raspberry forward with some light roast notes. Medium light spruce with faint red wine and oak notes. Hints of herbal, leafy phenolics. Pours dark, deep purple with a small, thin, pink head that recedes quickly to a thin film that lingers on the edges. No lacing or legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with fairly strong acidity. This tastes like I made love to spruce tree. Moderate raspberry notes with some light phenolic, herbal, leafy notes. Light oak and red wine notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer in the aroma but the flavor is way too spruce forward.

Bottle. Darkest unclear red. Smells like blueberry mead, yoghurt, honey, more forest berries. Salty fruity blueberry body, but really nothing else. Softly sour, okay. Nose was promising, but eh...

Bottle. Very dark purple color with pinkish head. Aroma is blackberries, blueberries, super jam. Taste is herbal, spruce, salty, blueberry, extremely tannic finish. Silky mouthfeel with low carbonation. Apparently, Blueberry wine is the new beer now.
