Very dark brown with thin head. Seems a little over carbonated. Malty aroma with subtle peat and leather. Flavour is more intense. Boozy whisky and leather. Medicinal iodine. Very good. Just too thin.

Fles gekocht bij de brouwerij. Geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Hey is een troebel bruin bier met een beige schuim. Het aroma is rokerig en scherp alcohol achtig. De smaak is houtig, zacht zoet en rokerig.

Bottle. Dark amber pour. Aroma of caramelised malt, smoke, peat, raisin, dates and oak. Taste has smokey malt, caramelised malt, raisin, dates, subtle peat and figs. Nice smokey scotch.

Bottle at the brewery. Beautiful dark red-purple-brown color, small beige lacing. Aroma is malts, dark malts, raisins, sweetish. Taste malts, raisins, sweetish initially but a firm malty bitterness with caramel and toffee notes, dark fruits. Quite nice. 8-4-8-4-16

Draft at the brewpub. Cloudy brown with a tan head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, herbal notes, floral perfume and malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
