Brewed using the finest malts & Belgian yeast, this well aged strong ale has just enough hop bitterness to balance the malty sweetness. The complex malt flavours, candied fruit overtones& spicey phenolics give way to a plesant warming finish. Wax sealed for cellering, or enjoy now slightly chilled.

Released in 2019 and 2020.

Bright amber, medium head. On the nose, a bit sticky but it is a big beer. Slight phenols, but they are appropriate. Fruity on the palate, a mix of tropical and stone fruit. The malts are thick, the body is big. Big and sticky. Slight plastic. Alcohol coming through in the finish.

Pours a thick cloudy brownish copper body and some okay foam. Aroma is lots of chocolate syrup, as could be expected maybe, but nothing else. Taste is nice fruity biscuit, heavy alcohol is warming but not overbearing, some orange zest. Ends with a biscuit aftertaste, full and smooth. A boozy alcohol bomb with no charm, but drinkable.

On tap at Mt Begbie, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out sweet candied sugar, lots of esters, and toasted caramel. Flavour is a sweet and estery mess, with lots of candied sugar, chaotic estery notes, and bubblegum. Exactly how not to do a Belgian strong. Poor.
