Late at night as the moon rises and sparkles and glows on the water of the bay you may see a mysterious horned beast emerge from the forest. Obviously neither fish nor fowl it enters the water and swims slowly towards the island. Our Pale Ale presents a combination of Canadian and European malts spiced with Pacific Northwest hops.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 05/10/24). Clear gold with full white head. Caramelly biscuit malt with resinous herbaceous hops. It's a bit too herbaceous unfortunately.

Draught at the brewpub
Amber colour, bright, with small head. Getting the lightest malt flavour with some caramel and generic, herbaceous bitterness from sub-par hops. Clean, so boring.

Murky copper body and no foam. Very soft coconut aroma it seems, and that doesn't seem right. Taste is brown sugar, vague biscuit, lingering malt. Tepid and boring at best.

Amber, with very low bitterness. More EPA in style, or amber ale. But it's kind of thin. I'm not sure what the point is, as it doesn't seem to hit any pleasure not for an amber or English pale.
