Donkergeel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is kruidig en licht bitterzoet met iets van citrus, wat kaneel, wat sinaasappel en een vleug banaan. Heel aparte maar best goede Weizen.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Citrus and banana aroma with notes of clove, malt, canned fruit, sugary orange. Moderate sweet with a decent bitterness, medium body. Nice one.

On tap at Chaff Brussels Thursday 5th June 2025, after journey from Nürnberg this morning via ICE. Pours hazy gold with a large white head. Soft mouthfeel, nicely bitter, wheaty and with a good punchiness. Like this.

Cloudy orange pour with a small white head. Aromas of yeat, orange (peel), more citrus, sweet bread, spices (cloves). Taste is orange, grapefruit, hops, malt and herbs. Decent bitter finish. Very nice - the higher ABV works well

Draught Small off-white head, fast receding to rim over veiled dark orange-ochre beer. Almost smoked, but turning out to be the combination wheat-hops. The clove is there, 1-4 guaiacol. Revisiting mein Hopfen Weisse. Sharp clove and nutmeg. Oranges - but as in rind, not the juice sweetness as in many Weizenbocks. Wry character, dry backthroat feel. Medium bodied at least, wheatslick². The Schneider Hopfenweisse on steroids. Just as that one, this is a Weizenbock, not just a Weizen, let alone a wheat ale.

Can 33cl. @home poured into a weizen glass. Yeasty nose. Hazy pale amber colour, tall frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma wheat, yeast, banana, cloves, coriander, light caramel, citrus peel, earthy hops. Taste medium sweet and bitter, wheat, banana, cloves, coriander, cardamom, earthy notes, yeast and retronasal yeast. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, grainy, quite peppery, quite bitter for a weizen even a hopfenweisse, unusual but nice.

Hazy blond colour, white foam. Nose of banana, citrus. Very yeasty, a bit dirty, not very clean. Not bad, but there are much better German examples.

From backlog. 750ml bottle. Smooth, sweetish and slightly fruity hoppy with some wheaty notes, banana and yeastiness, mild grassy notes and citrus. Okay.
