Say oui to this French-vanilla-inspired BA21 variant. Our robust imperial stout was aged in bourbon barrels for ten months, then infused with beaucoup coffee beans and vanilla for a luxurious blend of flavors.

Can from Utobeer, Borough. Aroma has booze with rich coffee and richer chocolate. Dark and glossy. Creamy tan head. Dark coffee. Black chocolate. Big fruity booze and vanillasweetness. Latterly a booze burn. Medium bodied. Oily. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. Big barrel-led stuff.

Can from Winerack on the way home from H bday. Aroma is cocoa dust, vanilla, wood, alcohol. Some coffee but not as prominent. Nice. Taste is similar but with less cocoa dust. More vanilla, wood, alcohol, some bitter chocolate. Aroma is more interesting. Palate is rich and slightly chalky. Quite good but stiff competition from a bunch of other BA coffee imp stouts recently!

Can at home, from HOTM online, 02/01/22. Black with a billowing dirty tan head that stays for the show. Nose is mellow roast, chocolate, coffee bean, light spice, dark malts, vanilla essence. Taste comprises chocolate, light spice, coffee bean, mellow roast, dried fruits, molasses, good bourbon rip. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost and a good lick of bourbon. Solid impy stout ... good balance ... never sweet and drinks easy for 13.3.
