Hell stark und lieblich im Geschmack. Eine leichte Hopfenbittere begleitet den speziellen Malzcharakter ohne seinen Frischeeindruck fade erscheinen zu lassen.

330ml bottle [Edition 2025]. Opalescent, orange golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Weak, minimally starchy and strawy, pale malty and minimally grassy, hoppy aroma. Taste is sweet-ish, pale malty and mildly bitter, slightly floral, minimally fruity hoppy, a touch of petals, hundreds and thousands; well hidden alcohol.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Good mouthfeel, mellow and homogeneous - overall rather cautious and almost a bit boring.

Bottle picked up from Äpfel Getrankemarkt Moosburg and consumed at home Thursday 26th March 2026, we had Smoked Haddock Stew with Cheese Dumplings, listening to Nathan Shepherd and Deb Grant at the 6Music festival. Pours clear gold, mid sized white head that doesn't last for that long, Erring on the sweet slightly boozy side, thickness in the mouth, lots of maltiness, honey and a little syrup edge. Fine but not totally doing it for me. Score: 6.9

2/VIII/25 - 33cl bottle from a local supermarket, shared @ Schwarzwald holiday, BB: X/2025, XI, 13:50, 2024 edition (2025-731)

Clear orange gold beer, creamy irregular white head, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet impression, sugary, some marzipan, caramel, a hint of vanilla, dried apricots, more marzipan, cake, dried prunes, some strawberry jam. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, a bit oxidized, some marzipan, a bit malty, gentle bitterness, almonds, apricot jam, a bit sugary, nice stuff! Aftertaste: sweetish, some alcohol coming through, a bit of solvents, some ester, dried fruits, oxidized, bitter almonds, pleasant strong beer, I like it!

Bottle at home, courtesy of Beerhunter111, I believe. Pours opaque golden with a white head and it caught me off-guard to be honest, I was expecting a dunkler bock, haha. Nose is hay, honey ans booze, slightly oxidized. Taste is honey, pale malts, bread, light booze. Abruptly ending, sweet and warming finish, medium body, soft carbonation.

clear golden colour, moderate sized creamy ivory-like white head; aroma of grainy, hay, some grassy and minimal herbal notes; taste has the same notes with some hoppy bittery and spicy alcoholic notes; not really sophisticated and definitely does not have the body for its ABV; quite disappointing one

0.33 l bottle from 'AleHub', best before October 2022. Slightly hazy, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty and a bit floral aroma of grains, some apple and a touch of straw. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, a bit grassy taste of grains, some vanilla, light honey and hints of straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, minimally metallic finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Solid pale Doppelbock, quite pleasant, not too shabby.
