Hell stark und lieblich im Geschmack. Eine leichte Hopfenbittere begleitet den speziellen Malzcharakter ohne seinen Frischeeindruck fade erscheinen zu lassen.

Bottle from Quack-Duck, dekuji. Golden color with almost no head. Grainy, malty aroma with bitter hops in background. Bittersweet taste with notes of perfume, biscuits and toffee. Floral bitter alcoholic finish. Easy drinkable Doppelbock.

Wenig gelungen. 8/7/8/8/9/8

Bottle looks good, beer in the glass also. Dont know why, but I exspoected a dark doppelbock, so a bit disappointed while pouring the beer in my glass. Starts strong, but not alcoholic, modest spicy-hoppy, a bit sourish. Finish well balanced, the beer is quite drinkable for such a strength. Not bad!

(bottle, 33cl) Almost clear, golden colour with a short foamy white head. Sweet biscuity malty aroma with shy notes of honey and a tinge of alcohol. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Robust pale malty base with notes of biscuits and cookies, accompanied by traces of draff and shy herbal hops. Sweet and moderately alcoholic and warming finish. Not bad. 30.IX.09

Bottle (excavated by Quack-Duck!): Golden, small and lacy head, solid sweet malty-almondy nose with a hoppy background; solid sweet and light bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; quite short sweet-bitter finish with a salty aftertaste. Pleasant, but not great at all......
