0,33 l bottle from Bierzwerg, Greven. Golden in the glass, little bit unclear, nearly two finger white and very foamy head. Grassy smell, some caramell. Taste is smooth, grassy with increasing grainy elements in the middle part. Low but present bitterness. Above average carbonation. Nice stuff.

Hazy golden. Aroma is citrus, a hint of gummy bears, wheat. Taste is a bit starchy, with much dusty herbs, very bitter, some slightly murky sourness. A bit too murky.

Bottle, danke Dr Bock. Cloudy yellow, offwhite head. Rural hayish malt, earthy. Medium light body, doughy, grainy, metallic/brass, herbs, sulphuric, astringent.

Bottle, many thanks pivnizub! Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is grainy, bready, sulphuric Zwickel flavours, hay, herbal. Taste is grainy, medium sweetness, a bit dusty malts, some sulphur. Silky mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Decent Zwickel, maybe a bit too grainy for me.

Vielen Dank an Kati für die Flasche! Smooth dusty cellar yeast. Mild and grainy, refreshing with a nice malty grainy body. The yeast is round but dusty, mild grainy in the aftertaste.

33cl swing top bottle shared with Erzengel! A almost clear pale golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of mild grainy malt, mild sweet pale malt. Taste of grainy pale malt, some spicy hops, nothing special.

0.33 l bottle from 'Rudat', best before August 2018. A bit hazy, golden with a thin, foamy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy-spicy aroma of grains, straw and some toasted bread. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, slightly grassy-spicy taste of grains, straw, maybe some honey and a touch of bread, followed by a short, medium bitter, slightly dry, a bit yeasty, moderately grassy-spicy and a bit metallic finish. Almost medium-bodied, very smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Quaffable, not overly aromatic, overall a bit disappointing

(swing top bottle, 33cl) Hazy, pale golden colour with a blond and firm medium-sized foamy head. Malt-accented aroma with pronounced noters of cereals, honey and vanilla, backed by herbal, slightly hay-like hops. Balanced bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Dry-ish malty base with cereals and present herbal hops, leading into a dry and moderately bitter hoppy finish with a rounded malty and subtle fruity backbone. Good and solid brew. 26.II.18

Swing-top bottle [The bottle, and especially the artless label, look very good; this retro-label reminds the conaisseur of the 50's and the 60's, when the FIEGE- brewery produced only two styles to moisten the dry throats of the thirsty miners, steel-workers and - later - car-workers. A simple GREEN label indicated a Pils, a simple RED label indicated an Export (sic!), the equivalent in these times to the today's Gründer]: Pale golden to golden, hazy, smaller and pretty stable white head; moderate bitter-sweet yeasty-grainy, almost a bit bread and worty, nose with a well detectable grassy-herbal background; very soft, nearly medium bodied, moderate bitter-sweet flavour; lingering bitter-sweet malty and yeasty-bitter finish with distinctive lemony-hoppy aftertaste. A very well quaffable Zwickel from a great brewery...
