Cloudy orange, white lace, whiskey, light oxidized, vanilla wood. Medium full, pleasant light sparkly body. Apple barrel, light sweet, almond confect, orangepeel, pear, wood, vanilla, dry whiskey notes. Surprisingly fresh and drinkable.

Tap at the brewpub, for Tag des Deutschen Bieres 2018. I pretty sure that a couple of years ago it would have been unthinkable for a brewery like this to release a Whisky BA Bock as a special for the Day of German Beer. Hazy golden color with creamy white head. Aroma is apples, peach, candied fruits, sugar icing, wood sugars, honey and vanilla. Taste is peach, candied fruits, vanilla, white sugar, estery, warming alcohol finish. Surprisingly high carbonation (probably force-carbonated again). Lots of almond candy/turkish delight/turrón in the aftertaste. Very heavy on the wood sugars, but definitely not bad. Getting pale bocks right at this strength is really hard, and it kinda works here.
