Double India pale ale brewed with lemon zest, lemon juice, and lactose sugar, and fermented in oak foudres with a mixed culture.
A forerunner of technique and component, we offer this 10th anniversary iteration of our Lemon Cello. First brewed in 2010, a sour mashed double IPA with citrus zest and lactose sugar seemed far fetched. A decade later, this reimagining represents a clever reflection of the original vision, and a fresh take on an informative sense memory.
Grassroots Brewing was the conceptual precursor to Hill Farmstead Brewery. Over the last decade it has evolved into a parallel brand and domain for creative collaborations.
Reimagining, reenvisioning, recontextualizing.

Bottle thanks to William. Pours a cloudy orange yellow with medium white head that last. The aroma is strong citrus, oak, floral, wheat. Slick body, citrus, oak, funk, light bitterness, very good.
