With its subtle booziness and honeyed caramel bouquet, this deceptively sweet butter biscuit ale isn't so innocent after all...

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits, nuts, yeast, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, yeast, dried fruits, caramel, and alcohol, leading to a dry finish.

Re-rating (previous 2.4) Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 26D). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 5 (BBF 1/2029). AROMA: medium solventy and slightly spicy alcohol with a sweet malt background with an underatenuated and sirupy (caramel) character. slight polyphenols from cereal husk and sulphury compounds (sewer). APPEARANCE: ambar color and very slightly hazy. medium-low ivory head with low retention. leg formation. TASTE: initial medium-high sweetness with an underatenuated and sirupy character. slight phenolics (clove) and low yeasty flavor. low bitterness with a sweet finish. a bit unbalanced. PALATE: medium-high to high body with low carbonation. alcoholic warmth. OVERALL: again, a beer too sweet rendering it a bit unbalanced with some odd fermentation by-products.
