Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 16B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch BB0723 (BB: 12/2024) AROMA: initial low metallic note. medium-low roasted malt with a black coffee character and a background sweetness and nuttiness. APPEARANCE: very dark black color and opaque um ruby highlights. medium-low light brown head with low retention. slight lace formation. TASTE: initial medium black coffee-and-cream malt flavor with medium-low nuttiness, followed by a medium-high roasted and burnt character that overwhelms the initial notes. slight metallic note. medium bitterness with a dry and burnt finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-high body with a slight velvety texture. medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: an oatmeal stout with formulation errors leading it to be overly roasted.
