APPEARANCE: very dark black color and opaque um ruby highlights. medium-low light brown head with low retention. slight lace formation. TASTE: initial medium black coffee-and-cream malt flavor with medium-low nuttiness, followed by a medium-high roasted and burnt character that overwhelms the initial notes. slight metallic note. medium bitterness with a dry and burnt finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-high body with a slight velvety texture. medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: an oatmeal stout with formulation errors leading it to be overly roasted.
