Bottle, 7.5%. Fruity aroma, seems a little oxidised. Clear dark red, brown colour. Almost no head. The flavour is malty and slightly sweet with a nice spicy note and a little acid to balance. Hoppy spice notes, not Christmas spices. Malty, nicely bitter, and salty finish. Quite low carbonation, but just enough.

Bottle from systembolaget. Pours a clear mahogany with a thin, beige head. Sweet aroma with caramel, toffee, raisin and brown sugar. Quite mild for the ABV. Taste is dominated by caramel and toffee with woody and nutty notes lingering in the background. Decent, but not very memorable.

On Cask at the Royal Oak. Thick and spicy beginning. Lots of sweet malt, spices, round and intense. Not too sticky but fresh and round. The aftertaste is long, full-bodied spies, dried plums, apples, Clive. Great aroma and a great complexity! Fascinating!
