Bottle from Pasqually's: pours dark amber with a beige head. Aroma is rum, wood, malt. Taste is caramel and vanilla. Kind of sweet. Better than I expected.

Bottle, thanks to mansquito. Pours deep red brown. Smoke, bacon, biscuit, harsh smoke, cherry. Medium body. Pretty bad.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Apple syrup and ash in the aroma. Malty sweet, caramelly flavor with ash and rum. Full bodied. Decent.

Sweet, very caramelly and malty. Tiny bit of roast. Tiny bit of wood might be there, and little to no rum. Your unique method is a failure. If you'd have told me this was a Dutch herfstbock, I'd happily believe it. Boring but drinkable.

330ml bottle, thanks to Gary for sharing. Deep dark mahogany coloured body under a stable off-white head, spotty lacing. Sweet smell of vanilla caramel, woody dry. The taste profile is also dominated by caramel sweetness with a touch of rum and wood. Fine depth. Nice, however a tad too sweet in the long run. (Kirkley, Lowestoft 07.07.2019).

Bottle from Waitrose in Northwood. A very dark ruby red/black coloured pour with a healthy off white head on top. Vague caramel, rum, vanilla taste and aroma, slight bitterness. Wouldn't bother with this one again but it was OK.

Bottle. Deep red with a dense beige head that settle to a fat coat. 3+ Aroma of bread, dark sugars, coconut, plums. Sweet with fruit, coconut, vanilla, light spices. Very little bitterness, just some wood and lingering vanilla - helps make it seem drier at the end. Lacks grunt and depth but is OK.
