500ml bottle bought at a grocery store in Zaporizhzhya. Rapidly collapsing white head. Clear golden body. Smell of vegetables mixed with hints of alcohol. Malty flavour with tolerable alcohol heating and modest sweetness. High carbonation level. Medium bodied. Better than expected, which does not say a lot (in my cabin, ship on Dnieper River 11.07.2009).

Bottle, 7.4%. Rough hop aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Small white head. Rough, bready and oxidized flavour. Seems to be OK malty, but the oxidation is bad.

Etwas trocken malzig, mild. Starkbier ohne Aromen. Test vom 11.10.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,7,8,5,7,6 - 6,85

Bottleed as Obolon Krepkoe... 500 ml. Pours a transparent gold/orange with a bit of a head that dies quickly. Aromas are fairly decent... sweet malt and fruit tones. Flavor is a departure from this, however as it is a bit on the rough side. Still, there is a nice fruit presence and some malt sweetness that are far more pleasant than my last \"malt liquor experience.\" Malt makes itself known as a honey-like sweetness and the fruitiness is more of a mixture of oranges and cherries. There is a little bit of an alcoholic warmth and from time to time it comes through a little too strong in the flavor. I’m a little surprised by all of the bad ratings... maybe I got a good bottle... maybe I’m blind to certain defects...

bottle - Pours piss yellow with a medium, fading head. It smells quite grainy. Rice? The flavor is sweet corn and not much else. The hops are negligible. Nevertheless, I didn’t hate this medium bodied brew. It’s inoffensive and the 7.4% abv is buried under the sweet malt and whatever else is in there. Not good, but not horrible...

Slightly hazy yellow color with a hint of an orange hue along with a thin white head. Sweet then grainy aroma with slight hops. Flavor starts off sweet, maybe from a form of sugar, then turns more pale or Munich malt. At the same time a noble hop bitterness fights for flavor supremacy over the malts. Really nice balance. Enjoyable beer.

Medium white head, deep yellow body with ongoing carbonation. Rubbery and caramelly aroma. Taste is sweet, faint rubber, with a chalky, grainy, bitter aftertaste. Notes of caramel. Has a bit more body than the svitle/premium beers, but is still boring, even if decent. (0.5l bottle.)

Plastic bottle, 1 ltr, label Obolon Krepkoe (BB 10/2005)
Honey-golden color, vanishing head. Aroma of sugar and peared apples. Rye-malty with strong alcoholic flavor plus some vegetables. Long warming alcoholic aftertaste. For a plastic bottle malt liquer this is not totally hopeless. Decent malt character, even a bit bock-like :)

Pour is yellow with a white head. Aroma is slightly skunk with some cornyness in there. Flavor is corn and nothing else. Where are the hops and malts? You do get the alcohol in the end as it burns going down.

An orange beer with a small disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet malty - quite boring. The flavor is also sweet malty with notes of caramel, minerals, and loads of hops, while the body is thin.
