Winner of FIVE Great American Beer Festival medals, three of them gold, including our 2023 award for American Strong Pale Ale! Plus a 2024 World Beer Cup bronze medal for American-Style Strong Pale Ale! Our drier, decidedly “tropical” IPA that’s light on bitterness, but heavy on hop aroma, courtesy of 100% Mosaic hops. One whiff and you get super intense notes of passion fruit, mango, and lychee. Grain bill of just American two-row malt and a clean fermentation keep it simple and allow these hops to shine.

Draught at the brewery, small creamy head, hazy light golden orange color, aroma of onion and passion fruit with some flowers, flavors of onion and flowers, empathic grapefruit peel bitterness. Very nice and enjoyable, more citrusy and oniony then tropical.

(473ml can from Mikkeller and Friends Bottleshop, canned Oct 4) 1mo @ drinking. Pours clear gold with an average white head and some lace. Aroma is heavy in very floral tropical fruit - passionfruit, lychee, papaya, guava - accompanied by some berries, citrus peel, light weed and biscuit. Flavour is clean and crisp, notes of berries, passionfruit, fruit peels, grapefruit rind, grass, light dank resin, becoming more floral towards the finish. Lightly sweet at best, finishing bone dry with fairly light bitterness and a floral aftertaste. Light to medium bodied, average carbonation. Solid, I remember this as better at MBCC but it's a pretty well-balanced if not mouth-bursting modern West Coast joint.

Tap @ MBCT Red Session. Clear golden pour with some little white foam. Hoppy nose, pine needles and light resiny tingle. Hop marmalade. Taste is super clean, light fruity malt base, nice aromatics all around, resins and some hops. Taste is super balanced feels kind of dry and medium hops. Near perfect balance, super fresh and smashable. This is definitely a full pint stuff that is pretty amazing.
