Poured a clear dark bronze colour with a foamy white head. The aroma is malty leading to a medium bitter, malty slightly metallic flavour. A decent enough beer but I wonβt be ordering a crate!

Cask at Christian Firtal. Copper with a small white head. Malty aroma with toffee, and a hint of figs. Soft and smooth malty flavour with toffee and bread crust, a fruity note and a quite bitter finish

Cask @ Christian Firtal, Odense. Pours clear ruby amber with a small bubbly head. Caramel, grass and bisquit. Very vague metal. A bit thin.

Hand-pulled pint in The Nottingham, Cleethorpes on 9th Nov 2012. Looks good, very good in deed: Rich copper body with an overflowing head of tanned bubbley foam, poured beautifully and slammed onto the bar top by the barmaid, who then took my money! The nose was malty molasses and dark fruits: not overly strong but easy to pick out. The taste simular to the aroma, malty and fruity, almost a fruity malt loaf sort of flavour, but not as thick or rich. Medium body feel, would have prefered a deeper depth of flavours and a slicker/thicker feel to the beer: still OK but could easily be a lot better.

Cask at Bree Louise with Sarah. Pours a clear deep brownish amber with no head. Aroma has a hint of light fruit with backing dark sweet grains and a hint of roast. Flavor is full of dark grains with a hint of light fruit and a hint of sweetness. Smooth finish.

500ml bottle from Threshers. Compared to the cask version this is still very fruity, but different flavours this time - plum and blackberry to the fore. Slightly stewed, but not too bad. The finish is very clean, with none of the cloying sweetness that often comes with this style of ale, and some gentle bitterness.

Bottled (from K Citymarket Kivihaka, Vaasa). Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is butterscotch, some leathery notes, and quite nice wooden tones. Flavour is wood, fruits, toffee and some slight nuttyness. Slight notes of cookies too as it warms up. 6 3 7 3 13.
