Citra Charged Dump Truck is a spinoff from its big brother Dump Truck Summer Bock. While still brewed using the old- fashioned German decoction-mashbrewing method (a technique seldom used by American breweries), we add a variety of citrus flavored hops during the maturation process (to extract the noble hop flavors and give the beer an unique refreshing flavor).

Keg at the brewery, 8/24/24. Clear gold, large white head, average retention. Aroma of toasted malt, passion fruit. Taste is passion fruit, honey, lime, pale malt. Lingering bitterness.

500ml pour at the Bierhaus. Cloudy golden with a thin, tight fine head. Sweet, malty aroma. Taste is as expected, adding a touch of citrus to the expected sweet malts, a bit sweet and a bi more bitterness. Subtle but noticeable

12 oz bottle poured at Matt's. Thanks! I remember finishing my Special Brews mug list with the regular version of this, so this is a memorable base brew for sure. Though apparently I never rated it! Soft cloudy golden yellow pour. Lots of hops make this Maibock interesting. Citrus fruit, a bit of a sweaty hop follow. Really flavorful. The citrus is borderline juicy. Really smooth and easy drinking. A truly unique brew here. Love the gritty impact of the Citra hops to this style. Really nice.

On tap at OBF 16. Pours a clear golden yellow hue with a medium white head. A nice fruity citrus nose. A really nice flavor, oranges, sweeter tropical notes, lemons, toasted smooth malt base. Very clean. Good.

Draught @ Bailey’s Taproom, Portland, OR. Pours hazy yellowish with a smooth head. Aroma of juicy citrus, bready malts, hay, grass and lemon. Taste is grainy, earthy and hoppy with some citrus, grass and lemon. Finish is crisp, earthy and grainy malty with some grass, citrus and hay. Pretty hoppy for a helles bock.
