Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is intense vanilla bean, toffee, dates, bourbon, oak. Slick body, strong vanilla, caramel, raisin, date, nice sweetness, hides alcohol very well, really enjoyed this.

Waxed, capped 375 from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a nice, tho transient, tan head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, dark malt, non-musty wood. Very full bodied. It is not dry. It has bourbon, lots of vanilla, wood, and burnt malt that's not bitter. The heat is present, but nowhere near that expected for 17%. Rich and dark. No coffee or chocolate since it's barley wine, but it's so rich one might expect such. Rich and flavorful. Wowser. Supercali.... Great ale.

375 bottle at share. wow! This is really a gem. Luscious from start to finish. Dark, oily pour, ring of beige head. Sweet, boozy aroma. Rich dark, malty flavors, heady bourbon flavors, topped off with some sweet vanilla. This was truly excellent.
