Thick and oily, sweet, boozy. Loads of vanilla, lots of barrel, bready malts, some caramel. Rich and strong, very in-your-face. A ride, a bit sharp but very tasty.

Flaska från Drikbeer. Mörk rostbrun i färgen. Russin och katrinplommon i mängder, prune juice, djup sötma, bra tryck och hetta från faten. Vaniljen något mute:ad inledningsvis, men kommer fram rejält en bit in. Väl integrerat med resten.

Bottle. Pours a clear a amber brown with a tan head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has lots of sweet grains and caramel with vanilla and a great oaky backbone. Flavor has lots of caramel and toffee with a bit of bourbon, oak and a vanilla finish.

12.7 oz waxed. Aroma has notes of bourbon, caramel, cashew brittle, coconut, vanilla, raisin, fudge, pouch tobacco, anise. Pours like motor oil--very dark brown to black with a thin tan head that collapses into a ring quickly. Taste is highly sweet and savory with a lightly bitter edge. Syrupy softly carbonated mouthfeel. Amazing. I usually feel these high ABV sugar bombs are overly rich and boozy, but this is harmonious and I don't see myself getting sick of it anytime soon. I think I might want to lick the glass clean after I'm done. The best Anchorage beer I've had so far, by far.
