My 12 oz can is stamped with the date of 10/26/22. How fortuitous since that is today. Time to make a pour and see if this NE style beer can differentiate itself from a multitude of others. My view in a globe glass is an indistinct, medium yellow liquid topped by a firm skim of wholly white bubbles, some lacing potential presenting itself. The nose is pleasant. Oranges, grapefruit and pine. But I’m here for the taste. Some orange zest, dry crackers, grapefruit, a tangerine sweetness and meadow. Better than average in a crowded field. And yes, it did leave some lacing.

Date stamped 11 / 0 5 / 21 so a day beyond its best by date. Not bad though. Aromas are fresh citrus hops and wood chips with a hint of pot. Flavors are like nose, adding in a little orange, mildly sweet upfront with good carbonation, slight bitter and a hint medicinal in the finish.

12 ounce can from Festival Northland, 12/6/20. Hazy yellow, thin fizy white head, good retention. Aroma of mango, pineapple, pale malt. Taste is mango, pineapple, grapefruit, pale malt. Medium bodied, mild bitterness. Simple but very well executed and enjoyable.

12oz can. Murky thick floatied out orange-tan body. Steady, frothy, white head. Juicy new school edged soft hop tone up front for sure, but has most of the tendencies of a regular West Coast IPA in body, a lot of underlying bitterness. Really unattractive in the glass. Perhaps really suffered in age. Not that good at all.

On draught at Frontier Brewing.

Pours a hazy dark yellow with a good head of foam.

Smell is of citrus with some dank notes minus onions, suggesting not too much bitterness.

Lovely flavours here. Citrus, pineapple, little bit of dankness, toasted malt in the background.

Smooth mouthfeel with just the right carbonation and body.

This is really excellent.

12oz can from Hops and Bottles. Bright golden pour with a mild haze, foamy head. Aroma is oranges. Taste is also orange, with orange peel adding a nice tangy bitterness. Kind of on the light side overall.
