On Tap at the Boise brewery/taproom Very dark, nearly black. Thin traces of tan wispy bubbles. NIce toasted malty dark fruity Belgian yeast combo. Caramel and brown sugar. Flavor is a bit drier and sharp. Some sourness and a clean malty bite. A little dark cider and more light carmelized sugars. Quite clean soft finish for such a big beer.

Draft at White Dog. Pitch black pour, small collar of head. Sweet aroma, malty, roasty, alcohol. Sweetness persists in the taste, not sure where its coming from as any weizen elements are not apparent. Boozy, warm.
