16 oz can from Tavour. I meant to drink these together..oh well. Dark brown pour, small bubbly beige head. Aroma brings coffee first, then a solid roast malt backbone. Taste introduces light sweet notes, almost lactose, before succumbing to the roast malt and coffee bitterness. Smooth.

16 oz. Aroma is black coffee, dark bread, vanilla, chocolate. Pours black with a small beige head with some lace left behind. Taste is both bitter and sweet with flavors like the aroma descriptors. Low nitro carbonation. I like the "Light" a little more, but it's not bad for a nitro beer.

With the "Light" as a Black and Tan: Clear separation between hazy Light and the dark brown to black "Dark." Has a huge beige head at first, but that's because I poured the Light too vigorously. It does look awesome after it settles after a few minutes, leaving sheets of lace. Dark bread comes out the most, then coffee, chocolate, metal (which is weird since I didn't get any metallic notes out of either beer by themselves), lots of roast. Low carbonation, just like the nitrogenated Dark. Not bad, and it's interesting, but neither beer was all that great to begin with, they were both just kind of okay. Mixing them together didn't really improve anything too much. Definitely better flavor than the Dark by itself, and slightly better than the Light. Beautiful looking beer after it settled, though. 6,5,7,3,15=3.6
