Imperial Stout with Pretzels, Chocolate Sauce, Caramel, and Peanuts
Take 10 is a collaboration with Churchkey (Washington DC), originally brewed for their 10th Anniversary. Brewed with pretzels, and a touch of sea salt added on the tail end. We added Caramel and chocolate during fermentation, then steeped it on a fairly reasonable amount of whole roasted Virginia peanuts. Roasted peanuts give a lush aroma, with a balance of peanut, caramel and salt on the palate.

On tap at Red Apron Union Market, inky black, ring of tan head. Leggy. Nose has some caramel, some chocolate syrup, some salty almond, some molasses. Nose is mild though. Flavor has more of the promised peanut and it's very peanut brittle, chocolate, licorice, marzipan. Finishes full bodied and sweet. Any sweeter and it would be hard to drink. 7 5 8 5 15
