Imperial Stout with Pretzels, Chocolate Sauce, Caramel, and Peanuts
Take 10 is a collaboration with Churchkey (Washington DC), originally brewed for their 10th Anniversary. Brewed with pretzels, and a touch of sea salt added on the tail end. We added Caramel and chocolate during fermentation, then steeped it on a fairly reasonable amount of whole roasted Virginia peanuts. Roasted peanuts give a lush aroma, with a balance of peanut, caramel and salt on the palate.

Can shared in London. Cheers to Cloin. Pours ack-brown with a small, foamy tan head. Sweet, lots of simple chocolate, low roast, mellow earthy bitterness. Medium to full bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, some gooey chocolate. Tasty, easygoing.

Can traded by tfontana. Thanks?? Flavor has plenty of chocolate and caramel. Unfortunately, it is missing the peanuts and pretzels. Mouth feel and body are fine. However, it’s missing two of the things they say it has in it. I don’t find peanuts or pretzels anyplace. Major disappointment. $8.00 a can!! Buyer beware in my opinion!

Aroma is chocolate and caramel, not getting peanuts or pretzels. Slightly too sweet, not what i was hoping for.

Can (best by 5/11/22) pour from Total Wine and More, Brentwood. It’s an opaque, inky black with nice sparkle at the edges of the glass with 1/2-finger width crackling light brown head with fair retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong sweet roasted malt with pretzel, caramel and milder chocolate. Taste is as aroma. Mouthfeel is full bodied with thick texture (like chocolate syrup), soft, foamy texture, pleasant alcohol warmth and crisp, fairly dry finish as taste with very mild lingering bitterness. Overall, a sweet dessert sipper probably best split for two, with adjuncts that are are well balanced but just realized no peanuts. Notable for exceptionally thick mouthfeel.

Half at hurchkey. Dark, myddy brown pour, filmy beige head. Rich chocolate, burnt malts, peanut butter. Smooth and roasty. Does not present itself as boozy.
