Raunch Bier.
This beer was born out of necessity and as a collaboration with Utah's oldest skate and punk record shop, Raunch Records. Raunch has been a haven for the lost kids behind the Zion curtain since the early 80's. This beer is for them and for our friend and father figure, Brad, owner, founder and one Punk as Fuck dude. Pint can pours with a slightly hazy gold colored body that supports a full near creamy off white head of foam. The aroma offers up candied mango, a thin hit of sweet malts and a faint floral hop sensation. The taste delivers a pleasing balance blend of flavors. I get smooth candied mango and a bit of pineapple rolling quickly into an upwelling of floral hops, earthy green tea like hops and a bit of juicy clementine citrus. This comes together pretty well but does end up a tad sweeter than I like. It could actually use more forward booziness to further balance out the sweetness going on here. Still. This is a solid sipper.

16 ounce can. Pours a somewhat cloudy orange hue with a small white head. A big sweet fruity nose, something a bit odd, husky and sweet. Big fruity notes, yeasty, pulp, orange peel. IIIPAs often come in like this, sort of hopped up strong lager elements. Not bad, but not great.

From a pint can at The Bayou in SLC. Pours a clear deep copper with an ecru head. Aromas of dank hay and pine with a bit of passion fruit. Bitter pine flavors.

Can thanks to toby pours out crisp amber pink topped with a sand head. Nose is heavy sweet malts grapefruit hops. Taste is more of the sweet malts super bitter grapefruit hops.

16 oz can from Toby. Bright amber, pinkish, ring of head. Aroma? All over the place. Sweet funky, smoky. Taste is also a mess, too much going on.
