Tap at the brewpub, served in a Steinkrug with Salzglasur. The head looks beautiful, and the color presumably hazy golden. Aroma is a bit sulphuric, earthy, grassy hopspice and a touch butter and juicy malts. Taste is grainy, with a herbal grassy hopspice and a decent amount of juicy malts with a surprising amount of sweetness, peanuts as well. Soft silky mouthfeel with natural carbonation. A pleasant, rather rustic Kellerbier which is a tiny bit too earthy-grainy and sweet at the same time.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma is grainy, grassy and floral with faint honey note. Cloudy pale golden color with medium creamy white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts medium sweet grainy and lightly toasted, follows by honey and grass, mouthfeel is crisp, while finish is medium bitter. Light body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Easily forgettable...

Kalea Advent Calender. Low key sweet yeasty aroma and malts. Light gold. Bubbly. Thick frothy white head. Lightest bitter with an odd mushroom-spice element to it. Light bodied. Thin. Soft carbonation. Dry finish. Hmmm... odd. Pleasant soft palate but the taste is odd if understated.

From the bottle. Gold to amber with a haze. Frothy white head that lingers. Aroma is honey, ear wax, tennis shoe. Not a lot of good reasons to keep your nose in the glass. Taste is honey sweet with hints of peppermint and paper. Body is medium, texture a touch buttery. It’s still quite drinkable but is taking me too many places I‘d rather not go.

Pours just slightly hazy golden, topped with medium small white head, very foamy. Quite grassy nose, a bit of dust and breadiness. Sweet bready/grainy start, gentle greassy bitterness with a hint of herbal presence in the finish and slightly metallic in the aftertaste. Sweetness takes over. Not the best, not the worst.
