A Stout made with Cà Phê Chồn – one of the world’s rarest coffees, imported from Vietnam. Coffee beans are collected, cleaned and roasted after going through the digestive tract of the luwak, a type of civet with very particular tastes. Roasted malt links coffee, citrus and dark chocolate to form a potent brew leading to a hoppy, happy, bitter citrus finish.

Draught @ mikkeller @friends. Pitch black, thin brown head. Chocolate, sweetness, licorice, coffee. Soy notes, sticky sweet with coffee and licorice. Full bodied.

Pours cloudy black with a small, foamy, beige head. Intense aroma of coffee roast, barley & oats, dark chocolate, sugar & caramel, dark fruits, (coffee) liqueur. It tastes medium chocolatey/malty sweet with cream notes and light to medium roasted bitter. Hoppy/toasty finish with warming, but subtle alcohol (creamy liqueur). Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Brunch made in heaven!

355ml can. Opaque, darkest brown colour with late awakening, small, creamy, fading, tan head. Roasty, dark malty and coffee aroma, a metallic touch, fruity overtones with hints of orange, some tobacco. Taste is sweet-ish, roasty dark malty, bitter notes of coffee, dark chocolate, resinous and fruity hoppy notes of orange, a sugary touch. Liquid, orange-flavoured chocolate - not what I expected.

Taster pour at Mikkeller Bar, L.A. Appearance is opaque black with no sparkle, lasting ring of light brown head. Aroma is rich dark roasted coffee, chocolate and dark fruits. Taste is dark fruits, dark chocolate and mild coffee. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Good but surprisingly light.

16 oz. can, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out roasted malt, coffee, and light earthy hops. Flavour is robust, with medium roasted malt, coffee, earthy notes, dark fruits, and light hops. Robust, lightly fruity and well-balanced. Excellent.

Can. Black color with beige head. Aroma is heavy roast, chocolate, earthy, not too much coffee. Taste is liquorice, iod, chocolate, nutty. Creamy mouthfeel with high, but soft carbonation. Good and very well-balanced, but not excellent.

Erst süffig süß, Kaffee, Milchschokolade, dann herrlich herb röstig, fast verbrannt. Intensiver je mehr es in den Abgang geht. Dabei super lecker, hohe Drinkability. Ausgezeichnetes Stout!

Botella 66 cl en el Kraken. XIII cata Ratebeer Asturias 16..10..2017. (r95). Sin lote ni fdcpref legibles. Color negro intenso con espuma beige oscuro persistente. Sabores intensos maltosos tostados con toques de cafés, vainillas y ligeras lactosas bastante intensos. Cuerpo medio a intenso con buena sensación alcohólica desde el principio. Suave amargo final persistente. Bastante buena para repetir sin duda alguna.

schenkt zwart als olie met volle fijne licht bruine kraag. aroma van tarwe, haver, mout, geroosterde en gebrande mouten, chocolade, koffie. Smaken zijn behoorlijk dik, vol en romig, koffie, veel donkere chocolade, geroosterd en gebrand, zacht, vanille, mocca, lactose, melkchocolade, molasse, volle body, lange chocolade afdronk, prima, ondanks dat het vrij dik en romig is komt de complexiteit wat ingetogen over, maar overall best ok.

Can. Pours opaque dark brown with large spongy tan head, mocha aroma, low carbonation, sweet mocha taste with alcohol undertones, roasted malt, nuts, smooth thick body, long mocha finish. Very well covered alcohol content and a smooth brew.
